Particularly worth seeing
On 10 November 1483 Martin Luther was born in Eisleben. In Luther’s birthplace, some 250 exhibits tell of the origin of the reformer, the father’s mining activity, the piety and spirituality of the Middle Ages.
Modern housing estates, innovative design, experimental art, technical innovations, reformed schools – this is what Bauhaus stands for. Accompanied by a rapidly growing industry, despite the political and economic instability in the region, there was an enormous departure. A cultural and artistic modernism developed, which finally ended in the relocation of the Bauhaus from Weimar to Dessau.
